Mt. Denali

In 1975, years after I had Alaskan Geography, Mt. McKinley's name was changed to Denali. The base is at 2000 ft as opposed to Mt Everest starting on a plateau of 17,000 ft. Denali is the higher one to climb, but as you know, it does not get the glitz. Denali is the significant colder one to endure. The height for Denali is 20,320 ft, and Mt. Everest is 29,029 ft. If you go to Wikipedia.com, you can learn much, much, more. Also the hospital that I work for is named after Mount St. Elias...more to learn. On the Wikipedia site there are all kinds of firsts...to ascend a particular summit, first team, first women, etc.

I tried to cut and paste, but something did not allow me.
